1. Gift Aid Review Service

Build income through Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a government led initiative to support clubs by allowing them to earn additional income from donations. For charities this can also include elements of membership payments.
Although to benefit from Gift Aid you do need to be registered as either a CASC or a Charity. Registered clubs and charities have a range of different gift aid tools for generating income. Fundraising2GiftAid provides support to assist clubs with taking advantage of gift aid schemes.


Our review service
The service is suitable for all types of clubs, whether you are new to gift aid, or a seasoned claimer. Our health check review is designed to allow you to determine your club’s current suitability for making gift aid claims, plus identifying a strategy to structure your claims. This is achieved through reviewing;

  • Your club’s eligibility for claiming gift aid
  • Confirm the different gift aid tools most suitable for the club
  • Estimating the potential returns from gift aid
  • Providing guidelines and documentation to justify and support the gift aid tools proposed
  • Develop strategies for building the clubs gift aid returns year-on-year

Once you have applied for the review service, we will assess how your club is set up, your current eligibility for gift aid, and the relevance of different gift aid tools for the club. We then send you a report outlining the proposed gift aid strategy. If you need further support implementing the strategy, or elements of it, we’re there to help you.

The most common question we get asked is,
“Would our Club be eligible for claiming Gift Aid?”
The answer is generally Yes, but you will need to fit within the guidelines to be eligible, and identify the gift aid approaches which are relevant for your club.

2. Annual Support Plan

The Annual Support plan is to provide guidance to clubs through the gift aid journey. It is one thing knowing you are entitled to claim gift aid, but totally different knowing what needs to be done to maximise gift aid returns for the organisation.

If you are unsure whether or not your club should be claiming gift aid, or how your club should be claiming gift aid. Which of your clubs activities and income streams can be used, and which shouldn’t, then please consider the gift aid review service prior to the annual support plan.

For the different gift aid tools we provide, advice and guidance to turn suggestions into actionable steps compliant with HMRC rules and regulations.
The stages include;

  • Ensure the club is eligible for the gift aid products being considered
  • Prioritising the different gift aid products in to size and importance, and start with the most lucrative income streams for the club.
  • Work with the club to structure HMRC compliant systems and audit trails for claiming on each of the required products
  • Work with the club on marketing and promotion within the club to produce promotional materials and practices for engaging members with gift aid
  • Work with the club for processing the required information into a compliant submission to HMRC
  • Work with the club to submit Gift Aid claims
